This privacy policy explains what information the "Save to Gift Registry" browser extension ("the Extension") collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. What Information We Collect

When you click the Extension icon on a product page, it reads publicly visible information from that page, including:

• Product title/name
• Price
• Product image URL
• Product description
• SKU or model number (if available)
• The page's URL and domain

This information is only read when you actively click the Extension icon. The Extension does not run in the background, does not monitor your browsing, and does not collect any data automatically.

We also store a login session token, which allows the Extension to recognize that you are signed in to your You Want You Get account.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

The Extension does not collect, access, or transmit:

• Your browsing history
• Personal information from pages you visit (other than the product details described above)
• Passwords (login is handled securely through You Want You Get's website, not the Extension itself)
• Any data from pages where you do not click the Extension icon

3. How Information Is Used

The product details you choose to save are sent securely to You Want You Get's servers and added to your personal gift registry account, where you can view them at any time.

This information is used solely to:

• Display the saved item in your registry
• Allow you to access the product link later for purchase

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Saved product information is only visible to:

• You, via your registry account
• Anyone you choose to share your registry with (e.g. friends and family viewing your gift list)

5. Data Storage

• Your login session token is stored locally in your browser's storage and is used only to authenticate requests to You Want You Get.
• Saved product data is stored on You Want You Get's servers in connection with your account.

6. Your Choices

• You can remove saved items from your registry at any time through your account.
• You can sign out of the Extension at any time, which removes the locally stored session token.
• Uninstalling the Extension removes all locally stored data from your browser.

7. Permissions Explained

The Extension requests the following browser permissions:

Permission	Purpose
Active Tab	To read product details from the page you are currently viewing, only when you click the Extension icon
Storage	To remember your login session so you don't need to sign in repeatedly
Host permissions (all sites)	To allow the Extension to work on any shopping website you visit

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
